Specialist in Elderly Care, Dementia, and Healthcare Innovation

With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, she has worked as a manager, developer, nurse, LEAN coach, researcher, and author, all driven by a strong commitment to improving care for older adults and individuals living with neurocognitive disorders. Guided by a person-centred approach, she ensures that Hovi Care’s services are effective and compassionate.

In her role as Programme Director, she designs and refines wellbeing concepts, integrating academic research with practical solutions to build staff expertise, enhancing training programmes, and promoting best practices across all units.

She holds a PhD in Health Humanities and has a professional healthcare management and nursing background. Her acclaimed work in dementia care, leadership, and service development has received multiple awards and continues influencing national standards in Finland. She has also contributed to the development of the Finnish best-practice guidelines for dementia care and has published both textbooks and academic literature on the subject.
